Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.

Become a junior Coach

Junior Coaches are needed to inspire the next generation! Our Junior Coach program is for high school girls aged 16 to 18. Beyond serving as a role model to program participants, Junior Coaches work alongside Coaches, strengthening their leadership skills and gaining a sense of belonging and purpose.

Group Opportunities

Are you part of a group or organization that wants to make an impact on our community? Girls on the Run would love to have you get involved with our program. Here are few ways you can make a difference while working together.

  • Volunteer together at a Girl on the Run 5K event – from cheer teams to water stations to handing out medals at the finish line and more – there are numerous ways for you to help bring this joyful end of season celebration to life!
  • Support with one-day volunteer opportunities. We have opportunities for groups to assist us in critical tasks such as materials packing and Project Gear Up. Find an opportunity for your group on our list of upcoming group volunteer opportunities

Join our Board

Volunteering with Girls on the Run through board service is a unique and rewarding opportunity to shape the future of GOTR statewide.

Applications for our Board of Directors are now open. The Board is an oversight body responsible for advising, guiding, governing and promoting GOTR MN. Board Members actively participate in strategic planning, organizational expansion, and fundraising. Two year terms begin July 2024.
