Uplifting Native Youth

At Girls on the Run, 3rd-8th graders learn to celebrate who they are, where they come from, and who they are becoming. Each season ends with a community 5K to honor their growth - mind, body and spirit. Rooted in the belief that every girl is strong, capable and worthy, we're excited to partner with Native communities across Minnesota to uplift youth through culture, connection and movement.

By centering Indigenous values of community, tradition, and balance, we're creating inclusive, culturally grounded spaces where Native youth can thrive. Girls on the Run helps close health disparities and support the long-term well-being of Native youth. Whether you're a Native nonprofit, school, or community center ready to host a team, a volunteer ready to coach, or a girl ready to shine—there’s a place for you here. Will you join us?

This work is generously supported through a partnership with IndigeFit Kids, a philanthropic campaign of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community to support the health and well-being of Native youth in Minnesota.
